Here is some pictures of the Tongan, Samoan and Maori groups.

We hoped you enjoyed watching us today. It was a real pleasure representing the different cultures. We had so much fun.

Thank you to all the parents, family, teachers and LSA’s for all your help and support throughout our learning journey.

A fun packed week...

This week we have had so much on!

We have begun learning about measurement, and what people used before they had rulers or if they don’t have one. We measured a few things using our hands and feet.

We had our first two swimming lessons for the term. The water was as cold as ice but we still had fun.  We focused on gliding and freestyle.

Our buddy class have also been doing some amazing things. We loved stopping by to see some of their art.

And we had a great time watching reading group four perform a play.

Here is some photos from the week.

What we have been up to this week...

We have learning about heaps of things this week... one of which is how to draw using realism, shading, direct the sunlight and shadows.

Here is some of drawings, some of us have drawn our grandparents for the Duffy competition while others just tried to draw a person.

Welcome to Term 4

This week we celebrated the Niuean and Indian cultures.
We are so proud of Archita and Julien who preformed in the celebration assembly.

We also had a earthquake drill.

AND ... we started Footsteps, which is where we are taught how to dance.

Speeches

This week is all about presenting our speeches. Today was the semi finials where Tamika and Kendryek got to share their speeches to Team Whakapono.

Kendryeks speech on how you can become a champion was very inspirational.

Tamika’s speech on becoming a champion through joining the fight to prevent pollution was very factual and interesting.

Today was also our Team Whakapono’s assembly where Tamika, Kendryek and Archita were rewarded for their hard work and the time they put into writing their speeches

We are very proud of our class.

During our assembly we also thanked Graham for coming into run EOTC activities for our Year 5 students. They had so much fun.
